SwissBake® American Cookie Mix - Schoko is a complete mix to prepare light, soft & chewy cookies. Just add water and butter and you can prepare authentic American cookies. These cookies have a crunchy bite and moist, chewy centre. With your own inclusions you can make different varieties of cookies.

Method

Place the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl. Add water and butter into the bowl. Using a paddle attachment on a planetary mixer, mix on slow speed for 1 minute. Scrape down the mixture and again mix on medium speed for 2 minutes. Once the dough is formed wrap it with cling film & refrigerate it for 15 minutes. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and divide it into 20 gm to 30 gm for small cookies and 45 gm to 70 gm for large cookies. Shape the dough into a cookie ball and place it on the baking tray. Bake it at 160°C for approximately 20 - 22 minutes in the deck oven.

What is the shelf life of the cookies baked using SwissBake® American cookie mix?

SwissBake® American Cookie Mix – Schoko does not have any preservatives or chemicals to extend its shelf life hence we recommend that the product be consumed within 1-2 days of baking. Alternately, after you bake the cookies, rest the cookie on the cooling rack. Once they cool down to normal room temperature, store them in an airtight container. The cookies will stay fresh for almost 4 to 5 days at room temperature. For extending the shelf life of the chocolate cookies, it is best to store the cookie in the refrigerator.

I don’t want to use the entire Cookie dough at one time. Can I store the dough for use later?

Once the Chocolate Cookie dough made using SwissBake® American Cookie mix – Schoco is ready, you can place the dough into a bowl and wrap it with a plastic cling wrap or store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator (4ºC) for upto 10 days however for the best results use the dough after 48 hours under refrigeration.

Are the cookies made using SwissBake® American cookie mixes Eggfree?

Yes, both the SwissBake® American Cookie Mixes can be used to for making Egg less completely vegetarian cookies

How many cookies I can make using 1kg of SwissBake® American Cookie Mix – Schoko??

The total baking yield of 1kg mix of American Cookie Mix - Schoko mix (without using any additional ingredients like chocolate chips or nuts or berries) is approximately 1.3 kg. The regular medium size cookie is of 40 gm hence you can make about 31-33 cookies using this mix.
